A leading independent publisher of children’s magazines in UK and North America, including Disney, Thomas the Tank Engine, Peppa Pig etc require an enthusiastic Graphic Design, Magazine design or Publishing graduate to work as a designer at their editorial office in Shrewsbury. Duties to include: working to an editors brief and with licensors style guide, designing pages on screen, including writing copy. The work will be done using CS3 (Photoshop, InDesign/Quark and Illustrator); and proofing work, good grammar and spelling are important. Experience of magazine page layout, brochure or newsletter design is a distinct advantage. This is an exciting opportunity offering excellent training and career progression. This job is temp - perm with an immediate start. Temporary duration of 12 weeks with a view to going permanent after this time. The successful candidate will be well organised, meticulous and creative with a strong desire to work with publishing. They will have excellent design skills and a comprehensive working knowledge of CS3 Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. You MUST have a degree in Graphic Design, Publishing or Magazine Design.
